Challenge your Mindset
One of the greatest tools we have at our disposal is our mind. It is one of the most powerful tools we wield in our daily lives. We use it to develop ideas, values, our identity, evaluate problems, and so much more. It can create worlds and characters that live. It can return loved ones from the past with fond memories. It has the power to learn and retain new and exciting information. Its limit is boundless.
It also has the power to confine us.
Our minds are so powerful that it can stop us in our tracks and prevent us from achieving our potential. Allowing our fears and doubts to take hold and control us. It places limitations on us, then drowns us with despair until we are buried in a mess that seems too large to manage. It shrouds us in darkness and even though there is light day after day, it appears that none of it reaches us.
But there is a way out.
Our minds create the despair, but it also has the power to part the darkness little by little until we find the warm embrace of the light. This takes a change in how we think and approach the difficulties that we face each day. This comes from personal discovery. Reading books that give you tools to dismantle the darkness. It may feel as though you are using a plastic spoon to dig through a cement wall but the longer you expand your knowledge you will find other tools along the way. This is the challenge. This is your challenge. To find the tools you need in order to clear your path.
Everyone has a different challenge and there are others that can help, but in the end it is up to you to walk the path. Start by heading the words of Jordan Peterson and "clean your room."
Here are some tools I have found useful. I hope you will find them helpful as well.
